| The Pinan kata where introduced by Itosu, when karate began to be taught in the Okinawa schools. Theirs name has been changed into Heian by Funakoshi when he came to Japan. Pinan Shodan is the first of these kata, it was then renamed (and renumbered) into Heian Nidan. It is a basic kata with simple movements; Wado-ryu people practice Pinan in a form similar to the original one (which is shown here), while Shotokan people practice Heian as they where modified by Yoshitaka Funakoshi. |
| I kata Pinan sono stati introdotti da Itosu, quando si e' incominciato ad insegnare karate nelle scuole di Okinawa. Il nome dei Pinan e' stato modificato da Gichin Funakoshi in Heian alla sua venuta in giappone. Pinan shodan e' il primo di questi kata, poi divenuto il secondo degli Heian. E' un kata di base, con movimenti semplici; nel Wado-ryu si vede oggi una forma simile all'originale (che presentiamo qui), mentre nello Shotokan si utilizza la forma modificata da Yoshitaka Funakoshi. |
